While travelling to North-East India, it should be decided in advance that where to go, what all locations and destinations to be visited, to avoid the last minute ciaos. The location of this eastern state of India is just ideal for choosing it as your holiday destination. North East India lie deep in the lap of easternmost Himalayan hills in north-eastern part of India. Connected to rest of India by merely 20 km of wide land (at Siliguri, West Bengal), the North-East India shares over 2,000 km of border with Bhutan, China, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
Tour Highlights
- Morning after breakfast, you will be transfer to Kolkata airport to catch flight for Bagdogra.
- Early Morning at 0400 am drive to Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular Sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft. Worlds third highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.
- After breakfast proceeds to picturesque drive to Gangtok "The capital City of Sikkim".
- After breakfast local sightseeing half day city tour covering Rumtek Monastery, Botanical Garden, Do-Drul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Flower show and Handicraft Centre.
Welcome on arrival at Kolkata airport. After meet & assist services at the airport, transfer to Hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Kolkata.
Day 2: Kolkata – Bagdogra (By Flight) – Darjeeling (B/L/D).
Morning after breakfast, you will be transfer to Kolkata airport to catch flight for Bagdogra. Meet & Greet on airport & transfer to Darjeeling (About 90 kms / 3 hrs), is one of the most magnificent Hill Resorts in the World. On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Dinner & Overnight stay will be at Darjeeling.
Day 3: Darjeeling (Local sightseeing).Early Morning at 0400 am drive to Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular Sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft. Worlds third highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), and Japanese Temple. Evening free (walking tour of mall - suggested). Overnight stay will be at Darjeeling.
Day 4: Darjeeling – Gangtok (About 119kms/ 4 hrs).After breakfast proceeds to picturesque drive to Gangtok "The capital City of Sikkim". On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.
Day 5: GangtokAfter breakfast local sightseeing half day city tour covering Rumtek Monastery, Botanical Garden, Do-Drul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Flower show and Handicraft Centre. Afternoon free for personal activities & shopping. Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.
Day 6: Gangtok (Trip to Tsomgo Lake + Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir).Start for a half day excursion trip of Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13200 ft.) 52 kms from Gangtok city. Tsomgo Lake freezes completely during the winter and is much revered by the locals. Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.
Day 7: Gangtok – Bagdogra – Kolkata departure (B/L/D) by flight.Morning free for packing & personal activities. Check out from hotel and take the departure transfer to Bagdogra airport to catch flight for Kolkata. On arrival met and proceed for dinner in local restaurant and then transfer to Kolkata Int'l airport to catch flight for onward destination. Fly back to home.
Day 8: Arrive Home.Arrive sweet Home.
