Sacred Buddhist Trail 09 Nights / 11 Days:

Delhi – Agra – Sankasia - Saravasti – Lumbini – Kushinagar – Vaishali – Nalanda – Rajgir – Bodhgaya – Varanasi – Delhi
  • Day : 1 ARRIVE DELHI (NO MEALS)

    Arrival at New Delhi International airport, welcome and assistances then transfer to Hotel. Overnight in a hotel at Delhi. 

  • Day : 2 DELHI - AGRA (B/L/D)

    Breakfast at hotel and then will drive toward Agra (210 Kms / 4.5 Kms). On arrival, check in to the hotel and proceed sightseeing of Agra city tour visit  one of the world’s most popular monument – Taj Mahal (it is closed on every Friday) built by Mughal Emperor Shah- Jehan for his Empress Mumtaj Mahal. The construction believed to have taken 22 years to complete with over 20,000 craft men working round the clock. Now proceed for sightseeing tour of magnificent Agra Fort- built at the bank of Yamuna river, is situated in the center of the town. Various styles of the architecture are evident within the fort & demonstrate the love of Mughal Emperors towards building beautiful monuments. Evening visit handicraft & textile industry and then visit Govt approve shops for souvenirs or gifts for friend or family, Agra is known for its fabulous marble-made handicrafts and soft stone inlay work. The Mughal were great patrons of arts and crafts. After that back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day : 3 AGRA – SANKASIA – SARAVASTI (B/L/D)

    Breakfast at Hotel. Drive to Sravasti, Enroute visit Sankasia, the place where Lord Buddha descended from heaven to teach her mother. Lunch at a hotel. Drive continue to Sravasti. Arrival Sravasti, transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight in a hotel at Sravasti. 

  • Day : 4 SARAVASTI – LUMBINI (VIA KAPILVASTU) (B/L/D)

    Breakfast at hotel then visit Jetvanaram and Angulimal Caves. Back to hotel for lunch after lunch drive to Lumbini (220 kms, 5 hrs). Enroute visit Kapilvastu, Lumbini is at Nepal (Kindly obtain double entry visa for India & single entry visa for Nepal). Arrival Lumbini, transfer to hotel, check-in, Dinner and overnight at hotel. 

  • Day : 5 LUMBINI – KUSHINAGAR (B/L/D)

    Breakfast at hotel then visit birth place of Lord Buddha. Lunch will be served at Hotel. After lunch drive to Kushinagar (130 kms, 4 hrs). Arrival Kushinagar, transfer to Mahaparinirvana temple and Rambhar Stupa (Cremation centre). Check-in hotel.  Dinner and overnight at hotel.

  • Day : 6 KUSHINAGAR – VAISHALI (B/L/D)

    Breakfast at hotel then drive to Vaishali (200 kms, 04 hrs). Enroute visit Kesariya, The largest Buddhist stupa of the world. After visit drive continue. Arrive Vaishali, transfer to hotel. After lunch, proceed to visit Ashokan Pillar, Relic stupa. Coronation Tank & world peace pagoda. Dinner & O/N at a hotel in Vaishali.

  • Day : 7 VAISHALI – RAJGIR – NALANDA – BODHGAYA (B/L/D)

    Breakfast at hotel then drive to Nalanda (135 kms), visit ruins of ancient university. After visit drive Rajgir (12 Kms / 20 Minutes). Lunch will be served at a hotel. Proceed to visit Gridhkutta Peak, Venuvanaram and Bimbisara Jail. After noon drive to Bodhgaya. Arrival Bodhgaya (65 kms), transfer to hotel. Evening visit Mahabodhi Temple.  Dinner and overnight in a hotel at Bodhgaya.

  • Day : 8 BODHGAYA (B/L/D)

    Full day sightseeing’s at Bodhgaya, AM excursion to Dungeshwari cave, The place where lord Buddha spent 6 severe years before getting enlightenment at Bodhgaya. After visit back to hotel. Lunch at hotel. PM visit Sujata Village, Niranajana River & various international monasteries. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

  • Day : 9 BODHGAYA – VARANASI (B/L/D)

    Breakfast at hotel then drive to Varanasi (300 kms / 6 Hrs). On arrival check in to the hotel and then proceed to Sarnath (14 kms), Visit Dhamekha Stupa and Deer park. Back to Varanasi. Check-in hotel, Dinner and overnight in a hotel at Varanasi.

  • Day : 10 VARANASI – DELHI BY FLIGHT + DEPARTURE (B/L/D)

    Early morning boat ride on the holy river Ganges. Then back to hotel for breakfast. After that proceed towards Airport to catch the flight for Delhi.  On arrival, transfer to a local restaurant for lunch. Afternoon proceeds to visit  India Gate- at the centre of the city (42 meter, high stone arch) is a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers who fought & died in the campaign of world war-1 & Afghan war, President House- built in 1929, once the Imperial residence of the British Viceroys and now official residence of the President of Indian Republic, Parliament House – this circular shaped building houses the two houses of Parliament- The Lok Sabha (lower) & Rajya Sabha (Upper). Its domed central hall is 90 feet in diameter. Evening proceed for dinner at a local restaurant and then transfer to airport to catch flight for home country
